Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, I was raised living all over the world as a military brat which started my love for travel, compassion for people, a love for other cultures and their stories. Working in the caregiving industry for a couple of years, I launched Val Home Care to better serve our elderly people in Boise, Idaho (where I call home for now).
But the industry was so much more than just providing healthcare to the elderly. It is a chance to hear their stories of their youth, the jobs they had, the mistakes they made, the pains they’ve experienced, and what truly brings them joy.
With Connect-Empower, we want the elderly to find their voice and live their best years yet.
